I absolutely love Twitter, and never more so than during Fashion Week. It’s so brilliant to see real-time snippets of the shows from the magazine editors, bloggers and fashionistas as they see the brand new designs on the runway.
Here is a brilliant video from Tanya Burr at the Burberry SS13 show in London, to say I’m envious would be a small understatement; how incredible is Cara Delevingne?
I had no idea fishtail braids were so simple! I have to admit, I’ve never looked into it – my hair is curly and I’m a bit lazy with it, I tend to just wash it and leave it down. But, now that I’ve seen this video from Tanya, where she does it without a mirror even, I really want to try it!
I’ve been having a bit of a Mac eyeshadow love-in recently. I’ve got a whole list of shades that I’m coveting and I’m slowly working my way through it.
This week I bought Nylon, Black Tied, Quarry and Patina – all recommendations from Tanya Burr – and I love them. At the airport, on my way to my summer holiday recently, (airport make-up shopping is genuinely one of my favourite parts of going abroad) I treated myself to Sable, Satin Taupe, Omega and Coppering and have been loving trying them all out. Unfortunately, at the airport they didn’t have the shadows in pan form, so I had to get them all in their single pots. As I wanted to add them to a palette, this led me to trying to find out if it’s possible to remove the pans from the pots.
I asked in-store this week and was advised to have a look on YouTube (oh how I love thee!). These are the two most useful I have found – one with heat and one without.
A handy side-bonus of this is that I learned about the Back to Mac Program – if you take six empty Mac containers back to a store, you are entitled to a free lipstick of your choice – how amazing?!
This video features all the make-up that Tanya took with her to a trip to America, and so the products that she really uses. Another one to extend the wish list quite significantly…
Safe to say, everything in this list (that I don’t already own) went straight onto my wish list.
This is another video of Tanya Burr’s that I watched early on – as a massive Made In Chelsea fan I love this one with MIC’s Millie!
A warning: I wrote such a long wish list of products used in this video…
Tanya Burr is one of the those girls that you just want to BE. I love her make up videos and also the vlogs that Tanya and her boyfriend, Jim, create together, they are like their own reality TV show!
Aside from that Tanya is a total pro and the videos on her make up channel on You Tube are brilliant. Possibly my favourites.
I think this is the first video of hers that I ever watched:
